| Bio: | SadiK was the singer of XP8, from the very beginning till things fell apart,
otherwise known as Paul.
Human nature has always meant people try to leave a sign of their existence. Typically procreation has been the ultimate act of ego, passing on one's genes, and almost as importantly their name (at le ast for males, recently European laws have meant that women can't choose to give their children a second surname as well as that of their father. In fact, you can't even give your child a second name... Can this be true?) to a new generation.
Without som e kind of confirmation of our existence who is to say we really exist or existed? We search for things to fill our lives, pass the time, waste our time and distract us from the dreariness of everyday moments.
Internet provides the ultimate distraction: i nformation on tap and enough holes to fall into to while away the hours. You can always find the truth you want, just ignore the sites which contradict you. Is any of this true? It doesn't matter.
Pass the time online paying your phone bills, and seeing a s "normal" life is so disatisfying why not try re-creating life as you see fit?
Online identities and the pleasure of indirect, sterile and safe contact with complete strangers convince us we are not alone as we sit in front of a plastic box which feeds our minds with things we don't need, don't want, and will forget within the week, and at the same time it's gentle, caressing radiation probes through the back of our retinas and eradicates our genes.
